Tamilnadu & Pondicherry Association of Urologists

The Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Association of Urologists (TAPASU) is an organization of urologists of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. It is the first state association of urologists in India. TAPASU provides education through fellowship and sharing of scientific knowledge and technical expertise. TAPASU’s goal is to represent all urologists practicing in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry numbering more than 700 and thereby enhance the quality of urological care provided by its members to the people of this region.

Message from the President

It is my honor to serve as President of TAPASU , one of the largest and most dynamic associations of urologists in India. Since its founding, TAPASU has been dedicated to advancing the science and practice of urology in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Our mission is to bring together clinicians, researchers, and educators to promote excellence in patient care, education, and research.

At TAPASU, we believe that collaboration is the key to progress. Through our conferences, workshops, and academic forums, members share knowledge, exchange experiences, and stay updated with the latest innovations in the field. This spirit of learning and teamwork has helped us remain at the forefront of urological practice and research.

30th Annual Conference of TAPASU

19th - 21st September 2025, Pondicherry

Become a Member of TAPASU

Mode of Application for Membership:

All membership applications must be submitted in the prescribed format.

Each application must be nominated by one Full Member and seconded by another Full Member.

A one-time, non-refundable fee of Rs. 4000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only) applies to all membership categories.

The subscription can be paid in cash (with a receipt provided), via cheque from authorized banks, or through inter-bank transfer to the Association’s account or through the website.

Applications will be reviewed by the Executive Committee and require approval by the General Body.

Membership becomes official the day after the General Body Meeting in which it is approved.

Applicants who submit their applications before the last date for submission of abstracts or nominations for TAPASU Awards and Prizes will be granted temporary membership status, pending approval, allowing participation in related activities.
